Please Welcome to the office of the Town Clerk!

The Town Clerk serves the community under the guidance of the General Statues of the State of Connecticut. The Town Clerk is responsible for the following: administering elections; filing and maintaining all land records, maps, vital statistics, Board/Commission Agendas; registering veterans' discharges, trade name certificates, liquor permits, notary public appointments; and issuing sports and dog licenses.

TRANSFER STATION PERMIT STICKERS: 2022 permits (ORANGE) expire June 1, 2023. 2023 permits are available for purchase May 1, 2023. Applications are available at Town Hall, Transfer Station, or online under Forms & Permits at www.columbiact.org. Submit to the Town Hall a completed application along with cash or check. Applications can be dropped off at the drop box located at Yeomans Hall - Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for mailing for this option. Stickers can also be purchased online at https://columbia.recdesk.com/recdeskportal. The standard permit price (2 stickers) is $50 per household for non-seniors and $20 per household for seniors (62 and over). Up to 2 additional stickers may be purchased at $20 each.
