First Selectman

The First Selectman is the Chief Executive Officer of the Town and is a full voting and participating member of the Board of Selectmen.

The First Selectman is an ex-officio member of all agencies of the Town (other than the Board of Education), but without power to vote. From time to time, the First Selectman may designate that for a specific or indefinite period, modifiable after notice from the First Selectman to the applicable designee and agency, another Selectman or the Town Administrator shall be his/her representative on any agency, but without power to vote.
