PARTY TRANSFER DEADLINE FOR PRIMARY IS MAY 13, 2024

Primaries in CT are “Closed Primaries”, meaning that only voters registered in the party which is holding the Primary may vote.  So, only registered Republicans can vote in the Republican Primary and only registered Democrats can vote in the Democratic Primary.  The deadline to transfer registration from one party to another and be eligible to vote in the Primary of the new party (Democratic or Republican) is MAY 13, 2024.  This deadline also applies if you are currently registered in a minor party (Independent, Green Party, Libertarian, etc).
