Economic Development Commission

The EDC will be revived and will meet on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Adella G. Urban Administrative Offices. The EDC consists of seven members who are appointed to four-year terms. In accordance with applicable laws, the EDC: (a) conducts research into the economic conditions and trends of the Town; (b) makes recommendations to the Board of Selectmen regarding action to promote, support and improve economic conditions and development; (c) coordinates, under the guidance of the BOS, the activities of and cooperation with other bodies organized to promote economic development; (d) advertises, prepares and distributes information, under the guidance of the BOS, which will further economic development in Town; and (e) prepares an annual report to the BOS of its activities and of its recommendations for improving economic conditions and development opportunities in Town.
