Columbia is a member of CCM - Connecticut's statewide association of towns and cities. CCM represents municipalities at the General Assembly, before the state executive branch and regulatory agencies, and in the courts. CCM provides management assistance, individualized inquiry service, assistance in municipal labor relations, technical assistance and training, policy development, research and analysis, publications, information programs, and service programs such as workers' compensation, liability-automobile-property insurance, risk management, and energy cost-containment. CCM does engage in lobbying.

The ProAct Prescription Discount Card is completely FREE and can help you save on prescription medications. Endorsed by: Connecticut Conference of Municipalities. The program helps residents save money on their prescription medications when their prescriptions are not covered by insurance. Residents will be receiving their discount cards in the mail. You can also visit the ProAct website at www.ctrxdiscountcard.com to print a new card. Connecticut Council of Small Towns (COST) - Columbia is a member of COST. COST is an advocacy organization committed to giving small towns a strong voice in the legislative process. Its members are Connecticut towns with populations of less than 30,000.  COST does engage in lobbying.
