Focus on Veterans, Inc.: Focus on Veterans, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing FREE medical transportation for Veterans in Eastern Connecticut to VA hospitals and Clinics in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. State Surplus Vehicles Program: To help connect Veterans organizations and interested groups with the option of purchasing Surplus State Vehicles through the Surplus Property Program at Department of Administrative (DAS). DAS is willing to provide an introduction to the Surplus Program staff who will then guide Veterans organizations and interested groups through the process of registering for a public auction; and/or to make future requests for donations. CT Department of Veterans Affairs - CT Veteran Stand Down Event: The Department of Veterans Affairs holds every year the CT Veterans Stand Down event in Rocky Hill – typically in September.  More than 100 agencies and organizations participate in Stand Down with close to 230 volunteers spread throughout the campus to assist over 1,000 veterans attending the day-long event. Stand Down is the DVA’s signature event providing veterans with medical screenings, eye and hearing exams, and many other support services such as housing, employment, education and legal assistance; all at no cost.
CTVeterans Mobile App: The Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs Mobile Application allows Connecticut Veterans and residents to access crisis assistance by phone, text, and online chat. CT DVA services are available through the app menu, including an interactive map of Veterans clinics and hospitals in Connecticut.
Connecticut Veterans Chamber of Commerce: Provides opportunity for veterans and veteran-owned businesses and help to reduce barrier to business and workforce entry. 203-978-1900.

Veterans History Project: The collect and archive the personal recollections of US wartime veterans to honor their service and share their stories. 
Connecticut Military Support Program: This organization connects veterans to mental healthcare professionals. Most calls are returned within 48 hours. 1-866-251-2913.
